[I carried them home in a case sliped under the seat of the airplane. Those were the days!!! ] Yes, they certainly were ! In the early 60's, coming back from a TDY jaunt to the Azores, a few of my intrepid fellow airmen brought back a then-new Honda 50 inside the cargo deck fuel tank of a C-130. Th...

I did the olive oil thing last evening. Used the extra extra virgin olive oil. Used a paint brush and loaded it on the belt and holster. Worked it into all the nooks and crannies. Let it soak for about 10 min. Then wiped it down real good with a 100% cotton towel. Note: This definitely does darken t...

There are forums which REQUIRE that you use your real name. How would you all feel about that?

Can ya do one of those polls on this forum?
Seems a vote would indeed be interesting. :)

You can look at it as an opportunity.

A good chance to start over with a new cooler sounding sign on handle.

This rig is for hunting, so I really need to soften it and chase those
annoying squeaks out of it. :)

Will a coat of olive oil work on a brand new rig without hurting anything?
It sounds like an old squeaky door when I put it on and walk around. :?

Hey rangerider7 looks great. Just got my double loop rig in today. Very much similar to this one. Fits great, nice and dark the way I wanted it. But this thing is stiff as a board. What do you SASS guys use on your rigs to soften them up. Not to worried about the belt being overly soft. But, I sure ...

Wow!

That is interesting.

I didn't know that is what the night sights were made of.
I thought they were like the old glow in the dark toys and
watches.

I was refering to the night sights that came on my Sig P239.

Night Sight Question.

Say you keep a hand gun zipped up in a pistol rug and
stored inside a night stand most of the time.

Will the night sights still glow in the dark if you had to
pull it out in the dark?

Or do they need to be brought out in the light on a
regular basis for a recharge?

Yes bunnies and possibly tree rats that are not to far away.

I was thinking the +P's with semi-wadcutters would be the choice
for turkey, but could be wrong there.

? about small game hunting with SAA's

Question about small game hunting with SAA's in 38 spl.

What have you found to be the best factory load?

I am thinking the 148 gr. wadcutter for small game.

Would this be right or is there something else that works better?

OT - A Colt "Why" Question.

Colt chambers there SAA in 38 spl. Colt chambers there SAA in 38/357 mag. Why would a person consider buying the SAA in the 38 spl. over the 357 mag. with the versitility of using 38 spl. in the 357 mag. :?: I would think the demand would be very low for the 38 spl. chambering.
