Hoarding will continue due to the political climate and gouging due to the hoarding and shortages due to both. That is how it is.

Some are great, some not so much. I have shot a couple, like those but have not owned one. I.e., I haven't been so enamoured as to put my own money into one plus the aforementioned necessaries. Those that I shot were adequately accurate for combat, not good enough for hunting. My .54 New Englander w...

Properly loaded a cap and ball revolver will work after as much as 12 years based on my personal experience. I was sure to load with felt and grease over ball and wax or those little plastic seals around the nipples. Every chamber fired just as good as freshly loaded. While the gun lived through hum...

Most such deals imply that the money will be in hand in a certain period of time. USPS MO in a mail transaction or cash in person seems best. A check is often acceptable to a seller if the person is known to the seller, i.e. the seller knows where the buyer lives, works, etc.

Price differences exist due to cost of manufacture and demand vs. supply. Not a lot to do with fit or finish given the examples you are using and modern manufacturing methods. Ruger cut a lot of cost on the Americans hence the relative inexpensiveness compared to the 77. Wood also costs more and mor...
