Re: Spring Snow In North Texas

I'm with you about bringing on summer...I'm ready. You just don't have to remind me of the red bugs. They'll remind me soon enough. One good thing I can say about winter, is I don't have to mow the yard. We're so wet here that a heavy dew swells the creeks. I'm glad they oil topped our road a few ye...

Another vote for 5744. 5744 works great for .45 Colt and should for .30-30. I use the Lyman 454424 as well with 16.0 grains and it is a good plinking load. Accurate .45 Colt I've not (yet) used the .30-30 load, but plan to with the 173 gr Lyman. Accurate .30 WCF Of course, I use it because I buy it ...

I don't use a sling to shoot while hunting. My deer rifle is one of the early Ruger M77 MK II all-weather (stainless with lightweight Zytel stock.) it doesn't take much pressure on the sling to move the forearm and cause it to contact the barrel, changing the POI. When I first got the rifle I had to...

Custer had long hair, till some Indian borrowed it. Lots of Europeans had longer hair (in the early 1800s, some regiments required you to grow a mustache/beard/long hair dependent on tradition). I'm thinking they're waiting for the fourth guy to come back so they can do their version of the "Y...
