Doc and Rusty thanks for tips , enjoyed the beaches by Bradenton. Enyoed looking at the strings there, also forgot how nice and rustfree the older trucks and vans are. . Just remember you don't have to stick with state parks. Some counties have excellent campgrounds as well. Over around Titusville there is the National Park that should be nice as well as Everglades National Park. Thanks Rusty didnt know that about LA, I very rarely stay at state parks. Looked up ...

How is the coast from Holly Beach, LA over to Pensacola,FL. How are the roads after the Hurricane. Plan driving the coast over to Jacksomville then down to Alligator Alley and then back up west coast of Florida. Any places to camp and shoot along the way. thanks todd

Hollowing out buttstocks
Has anyone done this to store ammo, matches or other "survival items". Think it would be fairly easy to do' Are there any hints for an easy way to take off buttplate if you need to without screwdrivers?

Handled it. Nice rifle loads like 22 at top of tube. Little bit heavy, Seemed well made. Dont know if id give $599 for it tho. Wood also had decent pattern. It is blued steel version

Mike Bellm also has a 7mm BELLM which is the 444 necked to 7mm. It uses standard 7mm-08 dies to form them. Tho he recommends using a 358 or 308 as an intermediate die/step

Any one use this powder in 256? My only load so far is 20.5grs of H335. H4227 is sposed to be the best for it. Have not been able to find any in 2 years of looking. The H335 behind a 86gr Rem FP averages 2325fps Read that REL7 should be even better but have found any referenc in any of the powdr man...

I picked up a load of ammo today that scaled out at 44,000 lbs, boy did i want to spend about 2 hours nosing around the trailer. It was a really hot load, (but not +P) so couldnt look around, plus security was fairly tight. Sure made my day tho

Sounds like a great rifle. specially after the dentist. Lee has 25/35 dies for $23 oerbuy a .25cal neck sizer and use 30/30 dies to size the web. Hope to hear about your range report with it soon

After all the thinking and looking, wanna know what i bought? A Rossi model 62A pump it has the 22" bbl. The stocks have been refinished but the metal looks almost new, with very little wear. I paid $150 for it. How'd I do.

Did my 1st chrony testing last month. My T/C Contender with 18" bull 45 ACP got these velocities. Winch factory loads averaged 891fps, My loads, got 1132 avg fps with Horn 200gr SWC and 10.4 of HS7, best was a LEE 255RF with 9.4 of HS7 averaged 1052fps. Puma 357mag loads were, REM 125 Golden sa...

When did the combo guns become so spendy? Been seeing priced from $350 to $550, at least the 2 i saw tonite were really nice shape. The 22/410 was $399 and the 223/20ga was $369, would really like one, but dont know if i can justify that amount.

Just got home from Cabela's in Owatonna, MN they have Fiocchi 22mag 40gr JHP for $79.99 per 500 round box. They also had Federal bulk packed 36gr HP plated bullets for $17.99 per 525 rounds. They had about 20 boxes of the 22mag left and alot of the Federal 22LR.

Sorry, hands are ahead of my brain. Its a 336 in 30/30. Stock finish is worn and blueing is fading. But is a very smoooth and tight rifle with honest wear and use. No scratches or gouges in either metal or wood. Also would i t be sacrilige to cut barrel to 16" ? thanks todd

Had one put on mine 2 years ago, he charged $30. Would of only charged $5 per hole but he had to take action apart so he wouldnt drill to deep, was a little peeved about it at first , but he did a 1st rate job and it was well worth it. But had gotten other quotes of $40 to $100.

If you are going to Montana or any state for that matter to buy a long gun. go into a gunshop and ask the owner if you can legally buy a long gun from him. well didnt do the buying i thought i would do. On top of it didnt even use my VISA all weekend, only bought 5# powder, 500 22LR and 250 22mag. Couldnt find a rifle or shotgun i really wanted. but still have 2 days left to think about it.
