When I did my special Gallagher had made about 4 other cylinders, maybe more, anyhow we were still in the experimental stage and a fairly steep learning curve.

Six, the converting from 6 to 5 shot is more hand( pawl) work than anything else. The steps get changed to lift the ratchet on the cylinder. Pretty simple.

44 special is just that- special. Everyone should have one. That new Ruger listed on another post would be the ticket!

I had to open the frame some, the diameter of the 44 cylinder required it. 4&1/2" barrel . While I lived in CO this lived in my fishing vest, lots of bears where I fished.

Used to use 3 or 4 ounces of cannon grade BP in my buddies dads cannon, tennis balls fit the bore nicely, as did beer cans frozen ( with water) . The tennis balls were like tracers, the fuzz burned off leaving a trail.

Yes GK I kind of remember an episode where the boys gave him the Colt. I remember another episode where they buy ammo, clerk asks what kind they want- 44 Henry was the response. I never saw a Henry in the gun rack. Yeah we all see those mistakes on tv/movies.

Today we removed a bearing wall, cut ceiling beams back and installed a new microlam beam to open the floor plan for a kitchen we are remodeling. - i did stuff too!! :lol:
