I bet those babies are a bruiser to shoot! I load the 375 with 41 grains of RL-7 in a larger 45-70 case for 1700 and they bite.

Never had a brass mould. How well do they hold heat? I hear they are in between aluminum and steel. Nice idea with the 2 different bullets in one mould. Hey, its a 30-30, not a 6.5 X .284 1000 yd. gun that shoots 5" groups at that range. It won't hurt it none. Clean after every 200 rds. or so and by the time you reached 1000 rds., the barrel will be so smooth, you will have forgotten about this post. Or............you can do what we do here.......

That 5/32 drill will probably make a hole that is about .160 if you just drill it without piloting it first. I've often wondered why people have to think whether "this or that" will fit. Just take a dial micrometer and measure it. If it looks like the dial reads ".375" or a few thou. either way, its going to fit. So just line it up and tap it in, with the confidence that its going to go...

RR, Yes, the grips will do well for a BBC gun, especially with the nickel finish on the 70 Series 1911 Colt. (sure is a deviation from your old Colt SAA's) :D The poster is very interesting.
