I have been intrigued with the .257.
I had 3 surgeries on my right shoulder due work injuries. I shoot the 45-70 (my fav). Very rare.
.257, 45-70 close but..
Why should I get one?
Can't hunt deer in Ohio with it, so why?
Itch has been going on for quite years.

I have some 115 gr fp gc that I am going to load and try out. But the main question is, loading Sierra .30 cal 110 round nose carbine bullets
for the 30-30 possible. They work great with my M-1 Carbine. I would like to use 2400 powder.
Load will be for my grandson.

In Ohio you can only use straight walled round.
I chose the .357 MAX as I have posted earlier.
Now I'm using the Sharps from Shiloh Arms in 45-70 carbine this year.

What would you hunt with?

I talk to the doc, don't shot a 45-70 for~5 more months.
I am sure that is good advice, so I guess I will use the .357 max.
I was just hoping that I could do it with the Sharps.
