If you want rifle performance use rifle cartridges.
You can't get there from here, 45/70 is just that, a rifle cartridge. 454, 500 s&w 475 all your trying to get to is 45/70 performance. Just buy the 45/70 and save yourself all that shoulder thump'n

the three rifles you mentioned are fine rifles... but the caliber..7mm08 is not the most common round if you get it...hope you reload... if you dont...i would go with a more common off the shelf ammo like 308... 30-06... 7mm rem mag etc. etc. I like remingtons and winchesters... Nice toy. But, too destructive for edible small game. Not enough power, bullet weight and range for anything else. Too many choices in the .22 LR, cheaper and easier to find. Trapping beaver

This was about 2001 with my son, ran traps after about 24 hours. 13 beaver and my son was 6 at the time and he helped with the sets and skinning. Thats a marlin 22 mag for dispatching the mean ones.

I prefer the walker game ear type that fit inside the ear, they dont mess with your glasses or wearing a hat. And at about a 100 each they are about the same price wise.

SAAMI-member manufacturers (or anyone else with a functioning brain) will not knowingly build guns that are not compatible with full-pressure ammunition. I know, it sometimes happens, in the rush to market, but usually the results are recalled and/or discontinued... Marlins .480/.475 comes to mind....

The tires still have about 1/2 the tread based on measuring from a spare which was the same tire and is still new. Check to the top of the wear bar, and look at your paper work from the puchase, may be only covered on road hazard up too 80 or 90%. And if it has a 45000 mile warrenty and you have 46...
