Re: Here is a hypothetical for gun cranks and history buffs
I was thinking about a dozen or so Model 97 Riot or Trench guns as well. If one were really concerned about taking U.S. or Brit. arms then I would think 94 or 96 Swedish Mausers and 1897 revolvers. That would really confuse someone. However since most of the expedition would be speaking English and ...

I had a M1 for about a year. Had to sell it to raise a couple bucks. It was a lot of fun but they are on the heavy side though I wish I still had it. You can still get surplus stick mags. I've been a Dodge guy since my first new car an '89 Daytona. I loved that car! I've had a bunch of their trucks and have had problems with every one of them. I once saw a signature line that I think many newer Mopar truck owners can attest to: Yeah, it's got a Hemi. And a crappy Dodge transmission....

Mike, I don't know if you can call it a ramp. There is a base that's about an inch long with a Lyman sight in the dovetail. the front sight is actually longer than the top of the base, that may be what's making it look bigger. Before I started tinkering with the rifle, I would do as Pete suggested. Also, if you are running the rounds through the magazine, don't. Load them one at a time in the chamber. If that doesn't change things, then you can start messing with the rifle. I have another couple loads to try as well. It'...
