Gun cleaning is another excuse to mess with my guns which, I enjoy almost as much as shooting and hand-loading.
I seldom take the same gun to the range twice in the same year. I don't believe I will ever wear out a gun by over cleaning.

My first was a H&R 922 purchased from the town's shady second-hand dealer when I was 14.
I later traded it to the same dealer for a High Standard Double-Nine. After it was stolen, my first new handgun was a Ruger Mark I.
I've since added a Single-Six Bisley and a Frontier Scout.

From what I have read, it's lubricating properties would make it too valuable to mix with other substances. It is clamed that it can still be found in the mechanisms of antique arms and clocks still performing its function.

I have had Al Story's ejector housings and bull's eye ejector rods on most of my Rugers for years. I also can recommend their aftermarket Ruger .22 magnum cylinder. They have magnum and long-rifle cylinders with six, eight and ten round capacity.
