Re: OT Companion guns
Yep - I'm more likely to have a mixed-pair when roaming the woods: A .22 LR handgun (for plinking) and a .44 Mag rifle (for if I see a coyote or in-season deer), or A .44 Mag Handgun (for self defense) and a .22 LR rifle (for plinking) However, I still like the CONCEPT, because having that 'pair' of...

Re: Making a Marlin 1894 Ranch Rifle or Night Scout gun
I like the idea for the light. Does it snap on an off? Other than that I would of just stuck a red dot or low power variable (1.5-4x) on it using a standard weaver base and called it good. The scout set-up and multiple sighting systems seems a bit over kill to me. I've tried more 'minimalist' syste...

Haven't 'been there' or 'done that' - but I've been with many patients and spouses as they went there and did that. As far as a suppressor, I think they make 'integral' ones that are swap-out barrels for the 10/22, and I think the back end of the barrel is similarly attached on the 77/22 and 96/22's (may need some work, but not sure) by the half-dovetail lug apparatus. In our family the rule is that you open the action and leave or lock it open before handing the gun to someone. One 'extra' rule to keep in mind is that the other people who have handled (or are about to handle) that gun may NOT follow all the other rules. Even though a death is just as irreversable...

Glad to hear that, but as Ed stated I would of done the MRI anyway. The risk of an MRI could exceed the risk of a tumor, if the risk of a tumor is small enough (which the neurologist seems to think).
