Re: PRIMERS AND NEW 86'S
Well, I was alittle bored today so decided to take a look under the stock. I ended up cutting off the safty thing and rebounding hammer spring. I think it is a ton better and still has the safty first click on hammer. I loaded up 10 shells w/ primer only, They all worked. MY PAPPA IS GOING TO BE SO...

Get yourself a new one, build that one back so it works, and while you are ordering, get the other parts unique to the 357.

Re: Trouble with my Trapper
Welcome to the forum! My buest guess is that what you have is a worn or broken cartridge stop. It is located on the leading edge of the lever-link. If it is broken, Winchester has been very good about replacing the part at no charge. It's a $29 part and is still available from Wnchester. Part# U3430...

I like flat point 180s. Work great to 100+yards. They carry plenty of energy for much longer shots, but you better know exactly the trajectory in YOUR gun.

I use standard dies. But I also use Lee's universal case mouth expander die for loading cast bullets. It bells the case mouth to allow the cast bullet to seat w/o scraping any lead off of the sides. It does this w/o expanding the case below the mouth at all.
