Re: Garden guns? .22 smoothbores
I don't have any experience with those, I did experiment with 38 special shot loads and was highly unimpressed... I would think at the range the loads are practical you might as well use a pellet gun....YMMV

Re: SAA barrel lengths, practical differences
Back in more primitive times I carried a 4" service revolver, A Ruger security six, It was very accurate. I did notice the ringers in the police qualifying matchs all used 6" revolvers, So I suspect they felt it was an advantage. I never tried a 6" cause I was keeping up with them wit...

It's true he gets himself in trouble because he's running on emotion, the story is ok, but most of the "acting" seems forced. I'll continue to watch but it is annoying at times.

Way back, while on a hunting foray I discovered the bead missing on my 336. I took a straight pin and cut it down, then tapped the short pin shank into the front sight. the head of the pin was the new bead. Stayed like that for many years until I upgraded to the Williams firesite.

A lot of trappers really like the Toyota pickups, smaller, better milage, decent size bed and tremendous longevity....and they go anywhere plus a 4x4 pickup can.
