Have you seen my old buddy latety?

I see this guy running around the gunshow every time I go to one, regardless of the location. He's the fellow all decked out in cammies that the top doesn't match the bottom, cruddy old combat boots with the pants legs tucked in, his version of bloused. Mostly gray hair with a little pony tail stick...

Still a few good people left

Yesterday in my travels I lost my cell phone, belt pouch and all. Combed the house and vehicles to no avail. Went back down to Home Depot where we had shopped yesterday afternoon, being a cynical old grouch I didn't have any hope of finding it there but sure enough, there it was at the self-checkout...

It's too heavy for me now, my back is so screwed up I cant take the weight, plus it's almost impossible to conceal wearing hot weather clothes. I DO carry my "little 1911" Sig P238 in a Galco pocket holster. I figure 6 rounds of .380 in the pocket is going to be more effective than the 8 rounds of ....

Old cowboy song, seldom heard

While reading a book on the Dust Bowl years in the 1930's, I came across mention of this song , "Old Faithful" and had to look it up as I didn't recognize the title. It is an old tune that I last heard as a boy back in the late 1940's, hope some of you will enjoy it.

Made it to Yuma again

Arrived in Yuma from Wyoming yesterday for our 6 month winter sojourn. Long boring trip except, of course, for the trip through Salt Lake City , that's always a thrill, wall-to-wall idiots on the interstate. Our observations included marveling at the number of trucks on the road now as compared to e...
