Grizz, I had a Three-Toe Box Turtle I kept with me in the semi, she could right herself most of the time. When I fed her nightcrawlers she bit the head off, then eat its body while watching the head wriggle. Then after she would grab the head and eat it from back to front. She also loved nectarines....

I always thought it was amazing they could hibernate in the nest. But then again they bury themselves in the mud under water, ive even caught turtles in december by breaking thru ice. Ah to be, young and bullet proof again..... :mrgreen:

Bill, money only matters once. When you hafta give up for a rifle you really want. Better to soon, than procrastinating too much. I like the looks of 95' better than Savage 99's but they do not fit me.

Coyote nose, yeah my stock has a weird dark color to it now, so i was thinking almost exactly what you just said. No the exact bullet, but 75 A-max CFE 223 starting 22.2grs, max 26.5grs......... WIN748, starting 22.4, max 25.5grs. The 80gr A-max uses 1 grain 1 grain less for max load. Hope thus helps it from Hornady 9th Edition manual. Todd/3leg Found Nosler book, for WIN748 using 77-80 bullets use 22-24 grains...

The Excelsior 12 gauge folder got here. Its worn, faded, nucked and scratched but the action and barrel are tight and solid. It weighs 4.98lbs! Handles like a dream. I like it more the Investarms folder. Comes up to the shoulder better and right on target.

The trial and error and experiment has begun. I also have been straightening out deer antler by boiling it and putting in vice! Ordered some bronze and stainless steel toothbrushes to clean out checkering, and toughen up my gums! Todd/3leg

Hiw do the 77gr perform, are they like a varmint bullet, or controlled exoansion? I'm on the fence about bullets heavier than 62-64grs in a 223. The 1911 looks good paired with it.

Easy Off oven cleaner for gunstock?

Has anyone heard about using easy off oven cleaner for taking gunstock finishes? If so will it hurt the wood. Don't wanna ruin a nice piece of walnut but the "environmentally safe" is sure taking alot of applications... Todd

Pitchy, I messed up my back 2 winters ago and had to haul split wood, it only lasted 5 days. Can't imagine being in pain constantly. I'm taking the easy way out, packing up tea, coffee, spam, instant taters and a few other dried goods for my winter getaway to the Gulf Coast.

Took the Bushy out to sight it in after removing a big scope i had on it and couldn`t hit nothing front sight is a blur.
