Re: OT - Favorite pocket knife and why?

my choice - is a Cold Steel 3" Voyager - everytime my wallet is in a pocket so is this knife. It is a tanto straight blade. My Pap used to quiz me - to see if I had the 4 things every man should carry. They were a wallet, watch, hankerchief, and knife.

Re: A couple more 32-20 question

I first tried titegroup and had so-so results. From some advice I received from the people here I tried 2400. I started at 7 grains and that is where I stayed. 7 grains and 115 cast lead FP shoot really good out of my Winchester 1892. It is very mild and a great plinking load. I also have some Horna...

The 7600 is a great gun in my opinion. The gun rack in our Central Pennsylvania deer racks are filled with either 760/7600's or leverguns - no wonder I fit in there so good. I have never seen one of these pump guns shoot bad. I have handled and shot 243, 308, 30-06, 270, 6mm and all were shooters. M...

I use plain CCI LR in my smokeless loads. When I get around to loading some blackpowder loads for my Italian Sharps, I beleive I'll switch to Mag. primers. Light smokeless to heavier 45-70 seem to do fine with standard LR - for me. I remember reading the Winchester primers are the "hottest"...

I would buy the Winchester with no questions asked. I know alot of people really love their Marlins, but for me - the Winchester 9422 is the finest lever action 22 out there in the last 30 years.

You can pick up a Henry anytime in the future and Winchester 9422 are getting much more hard to find

What, nobody suggested a Winchester 92 model? I would look at one of the imported models of the Winchester 92 - they are perfect match for that round.

Of the 2 I would pick the Winchester, some of the Marlins I worked with were somewhat "tricky" with cast bullets.
