Re: Sights, and Scopes, the joy in each!

Blaine, I know all about Indiana. Had several friends that went there every year to squirrel hunt. Me, my brother, my dad, and couple other friends used to (in the 80's) go every year to Trimble Co Ky, hunt right on banks of Ohio R across from Madison Indiana. Fox squirrel heaven, and we loved it, 9...

Re: Sights, and Scopes, the joy in each!

ABC, thats about the ultimate in shooting! I used to shoot a Model 19 S&W 357 a lot, but give it to my boy. I seriously thought of getting S&W 's 22 revolver just for squirrels. I believe it was either a Mod 17 or a K22, but I never did. My favorite way of cooking my own squirrels for past s...

Sights, and Scopes, the joy in each!

Guess I'm posting this cause its a beautiful cool spring morning, and I'm remembering. Our spring squirrel season opens this Saturday, and really, I've only taken advantage of it a few years, I kinda favor waiting till fall. But 2016 was the last time I did, and only did for 2 hunts then, but owe ho...

Fwbe, I've never considered it myself, but I know I've only read positive comments from those who let him to do that. I will keep it in mind if I come up with another 30-30 kinda cheap. I am interested in a 38-55 for my use! Very interesting and usable caliber around here IMO!

Re: Hunting From a Canoe

I believe you'll are referring to the Pack, aprox 12ft, one man canoe, weighs aprox 35lb??, hang on to it. That's one the top 3 canoes old Town ever made as far as useful. I kept a 16ft'r for years but I never knew that boat was available until they quit making it. If I had id got one also, perfect ...

Piller it already has and keeps me smiling. O I keep say (why didn't I start this long time ago), but then I guess, better off, its all actually new. First rifle I ever bought when I went to work was a levergun, but shortly I went to everything else, especially bolt actions. I got the 336 in 1981 on...

Reloading Cast???

I've been reloading just over a year now, only for 30-30, and only with jacketed bullets. I've had very good success, its went very comparable to others reports, and load data! I love it, enjoy it as much as the shooting, it gives shooting an entire new purpose! But one the reasons I began, its been...

39's have always been worshipped here. Those in the know, love their 9422's. My 336 is a 77 model, it would've been kinda a twin to the 39 I had. Through those years from late 60's through the 80's, I either owned or had in possession, almost every good Winchester or browning shotgun made. My dad wa...

Love em I do especially the Winchester! The 33wcf would be just the right amount of more of everything, step up from my 30's, for around here! I'd first like a Mod 71 in 348, but an 86 in 33wcf would be right next to it!

Anyway, enjoy the rifle, I sure would, its perfect!
