Maybe I’m missing something here, but you want to go from 4o cal to 50 cal correct? Why even mess around with a liner, just have the barrel rebored & rerifled.

No messing with liners, epoxies, seams…simple & easy.

Simply put, carding is the brushing or scratching off the rust between coats in the rust bluing process. I use the very fine wire brushes that Brownells sells and/or 0000 steel wool. I’ve seen fewer ½ round 92s than any other model. Ok Transition point is 11-11 1/8 , Size of barrel at transition : Octagon - .761, Round - .730. I’m sure she can engrave a 95 Winchester. Since Pauline was a Winchester “in house” Custom Shop engraver, not only does she have most if not all the original Winchester patterns, she is also the last Winchester engraver still engraving. She was there the day Winchester closed down the Custom Shop…

The magazine hanger (ring) fits into a rotary dovetail cut in the barrel. It’s a true circle cut with a 60 deg dovetail cutter. The only benefits to using straight BLO is that its cheap, easy to apply and almost impossible to screw up, besides that it has a lot of drawbacks for stock use: Never really dries, the finish is not very hard, keeps darkening with age, slow to fill pores and provides very little moisture protection...

Yes unfortunately I don't do 1895s, biggest reason is that I don't have any parts for them screws etc, nor any of the roll markings.
Now if it was a 66,73,76,85, 86, 92 or 1894 or Colt SAA I could help you out
