They did! I had one back around 2002. It had an octagon barrel in 45 Colt. I think it had an 18" barrel but it might have been 20"

Re: USPS: Here we go again

I have to say, their Postal Inspectors are kick butt efficient. I had a bunch of mail stolen out of my box, including a couple of credit cards that were getting replaced. Charges were made on another card whose bill was in the same lot. That got resolved by the CC company. The Postal Inspector came...

Re: USPS: Here we go again

Here's a question. Why should you need to buy insurance if you have already paid to have something delivered? In accepting your shipment and payment for making that shipment the USPS has entered into a contract to provide not only the delivery but taken custody of the shipped item. Seems the USPS s...

Re: Our USPS at work

Honestly, I think the problem with the USPS, is pretty simple. Background first. My father retired from the Postal Service in 1985. At that time the USPS was on the cusp of its long slow slide into the inefficient and corrupt entity it is today. So what happened. First it became a dumping ground fo...

Re: Our USPS at work

Bill, I worked for the postal service for 30 years and I'm embarrassed at what the post office has become. I bought a book on line recently out of Oregon and it spent 6 days going back and forth between Dallas and Ft. Worth. I bought some .338 bullets from a guy in north Illinois. I sent him a lette...

Re: USPS stinks!

I worked for the postal service as a rural mail carrieer for 30 years. The last 15 years I hated the job a little bit more every day. It got to the point that they were intensionaly misrouting packages to check and see if they were being handled properly by the individual post offices. I sent a guy ...

My Dad was a truck driver most of my life. He told a story of being parked at a rest stop one night to get some sleep and waking up to someone messing with his truck. He looked out the window and saw a couple of kids with a hose getting fuel out of the tank. I asked if he ran them off, he just laugh...

It's hard to lose the little buggers. We lost our little Yorkie to cancer last July.
We had her for 12 years and it broke my heart to bury her.
She had been my constant companion since I retired in 2015.
My strongest condolences on your loss

A year or so ago, my son had a green light laser procedure. He says he is very happy with the results. My understanding is that they remove a portion of the prostate around the urethra. He is 48 years old and had to use a catheter often enough that he bought them in bulk. Now he says he can pee over...

I see far too many patients who have the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach, and it bites them bad (as in slow and painful death or disability) - especially the guys. Women are far easier to take care of as patients, because although they are more bothered by the unclothed aspect o...
