Re: What's the best shot you've ever made?
My friend Jim about 9 and I, about 8 were down at the river with our bb guns. We both had shot these so much we "knew" where the bb would go. Just two eyed aiming... Anyway, this day Jim was consistently out shooting me, which was not really normal, but a humming bird came up over the blac...

Wow KirkD, you have presented this complex issue in a remarkably understandable way....Do not know if you have a religious affiliation, but the ability to think unencumbered by the intelligencia of the day will probably lead you to the inescapable conclusion that the the Bible is and has been right ...

I remember your post from this past summer. I have no words. I try to put myself in your shoes but I can not. It is too frightening to even contemplate. I run from the thought when I try. Best wishes for comfort and strength. 1886. I echo this. This is a heart breaker. I lost my mom 1 year ago, but...

Father in law gave me his Marlin golden 39A about a month before he died. Bro-in-law, shirt tail, came by about 2 months later, telling my wife it was given to him. She gave it to him. An employee sold me his Winchester 30-30 for $125.....he needed the money. He asked $100 but I felt for him. Anothe...

Oh boy...It is an 8mm Mauser with what must be Czeco lettering followed by the number 44. It has a M24008364 serial number, under which is M24/47. On the other side, (and all this surrounds the front part of the bolt), is B9127 Funny thing is the serial number looks like a modern machine done thing ...

Mauser ammo
My son got some different ammo with his Mauser 8mm. It's stamped as a 24/47. The bullets are 9mm Mauser, which must be correct, and 22-73 whose casings mike out the same, but the bullets are longer. Are both OK to shoot?
