I have been offered a model 12 Winc. plain barrel, 30" full ck. neglected and pitted a little as described for $250 I haven't seen it yet, but thought a 12 would be worth that in nearly any cond.? It is fully functional. What is your off the wall thought?

I had a Shiloh Montana in .45-70 Best fit & finish on any rifle I have ever owned, I would recommend the .45-70 since it can be used with BP or smokeless and can be more powerful than any BP rd.
+1 on the Shiloh Sharps. I had one of the Montana models.

Taylors has no customer service, except to say replace parts and the Italians make lousy repros . From personel experience,which I have noted before. This gets old since the same problems have been dicussed for yrs. Stay away from Taylors and the Italian gunmakers.

All Iv'e tried the new Keppinger trigger and like it a lot. I haven't beat .375 group yet, but am still trying. The trigger seems ideal for hunting. 3.o # unset, 6.5 Oz. set. I'm still getting under 1" groups at 100yds with handlooads ,. Still think I can best .375". Better weather and bet...

Anxious as heck to try my new Keppinger trigger, We've had 22 " of snow here last Sat. Doubt if I could get to the range. I have reloads to try. This trigger is sweat . Read the NRA article about 70's this month. Wondering if I should dig out the rubber bedding and replace with Brownells?

Gentlemen, I love to shoot, more than hunt, and I will do my best to tweak this thing. I will spend money on the best Dies, bullets , etc to get it to shoot. That's what I like to do. I hope I can do it Well. I still would bet on Remington. Because 8 Rems. outperformed 7 Winc. hands down every time....
