That gun looks very similar to a MacFarlane SxS 10 gauge I sold a year ago . The one I had was supposedly made in NY but the barrels had so I was told Belgium proof marks .

Re: Got the cabin in PA cleaned up for the season
I used to keep four Stihl chainsaws at the house just for cleanup etc type stuff . Now I’m down to three , the one with the 24” bar was a bit much although it came in handy when I had a tree uprooted right at my driveway entrance that happened to be over 48” wide at the base . Anyway I have an old a...

After rereading the post with the pics of the Parker 28 I’m about 95% sure I’ve had that gun in my hands last September at the Vintage Cup . A friend had commissioned someone to make him a pair of Parker’s with 34” barrels for competition being a 28 and 20 . Last September he had the 28 at the Vinta...

Sporty for sure ! The guns built on an 0 frame , the first Parker 28’s were all built on 0 frames they didn’t start with the 00 frame until they’d been making 28’s for several years . The little VH 28 I had was on an 0 frame and if memory serves made in 1904 or 1906 . Jacque’s in Ohio has a very ver...

I’ve used WSF for a lot of years in the 16 gauge and some in recent years in the 20 gauge . WSF came out in the late 80’s to replace 473AA which at the time was my personal favorite for 20 gauge target and field loads . I think most owners have found that a good old proven flat point bullet shoots well, and kills well on game. Plus OAL to cycle through the action is never an issue with a flat point bullet. I tried the Leverevolution ammo in the 30-30 to 450 Marlin and all did well enough on paper and deer . But I’...

For a shoot like that I'd either want a heavy ( trap gun) or a gas operated semi. The Benelli is using up energy in the bolt cycle that would otherwise be hitting your shoulder. Those shoots would be a real gain if a guy was ambidextrous - even out the hurt! Yeah the Beretta 680 series guns just do...
