When we returned to Cagayan de Oro on the first trip to the beach our bus was stopped at a military check point ! I think the Hornady Leverevolution ammo is a fad that will fade eventually. So what if it is a fad as you say ! If it generates some intrest and revenue for Hornady I consider that a good thing ! You might possibly have misread as the 44 MAG is loaded with the 225 grain bullet in the LE ammo !

I've checked the Midway and Hornady web sites and there is no mention of a 45 Long Colt with the Leverevolution bullet . I went to the local bank today to get some money . And they have a 20,000 Peso minnimum . Most taxi's etc cannot break 500 or 1000 peso notes . So when I came from the bank I had a roll of money that would choke a horse ! When in reality it was a little less then $500 american !

For the last 3 or 4 years I'd say 90% of the deer I've killed have been taken with levers ! And out of the other 10% they were mostly popped with ML's . I like hunting with bolt actions also . To me it's like a light 357 MAG .

I also think the Hogue grip makes it a much more uhm comfortable little gun to hold . The stock grips do not fit my hand so well . But then I have a fairly large paw :!:

It's supposed to be a belted 45-70 for lack of a better explanation . That way the factory can load them up a bit and not have to worry about someone shooting the ammo in an old Trapddor .
