I’ve always shot lots of .38 ammo and relatively little .357 Magnum through my revolvers.

I still think that’s a pretty good idea.

I do love the big Smith revolvers.

I have a brand new Smith & Wesson 520 which I think should have been the ideal duty gun. N frame with fixed sights in .357.

It was designed to shoot 220 gr bullets more accurately but I think it’s just great for all copper...

Unique isn’t magic but at 7.5 gr in the .44 Special it seems to be remarkably consistent.

I just loaded some .432 diameter Keith bullets which should seal the chamber mouths much better.

A .430 slips right through the throats on my Ruger new model flattop.

I think the Model 10 is the sweet spot for the .38 Special cartridge. Small enough for comfortable carry and big enough to shoot well. The triggers on the older guns are particularly easy to work with.

I like the 4 inch heavy barrel Model 10s and 13s.

But I shoot better with a little heavier gun. SAPD marked 681.

A fixed sight service revolver is still the top of the heap as far as I am concerned. I guarantee that the flier in this group is not the gun but my fault.
