1860 Army grip fits my hand better than any other. I have a Uberti SAA clone with an 1860 grip frame on it and it is a very pleasing handgun.

I agree. This old Ruger is a prime example.

I don’t know how many rounds I’ve put through it but shooting it was like eating popcorn....a little bit won’t do! The only issue I ever had with it was that the front sight was just too short. But it would not hurt my feelings if this was my only gun.

Rossi Cartridge Guide Screw .44

I don't actually know how this happened, but I am missing a cartridge guide screw on the left side on my .44 Mag Rossi 92.

It hasn't interfered with function, but it should still be there. Can anyone tell me the best place to buy one?

But I am almost always armed with a .357 revolver. So I do get to shoot a lot of targets of opportunity with it.

I probably could have killed this pig with a .22 but the .357 makes a very impressive entry wound.

Having shot a lot of critters with both. I think a heavier bigger bullet kills better at a given velocity. For example, a .357 at 900 feet per second is not the same as a .454 at 900 feet per second. Same here. But if you want to carry one out, you can cut the hide above the gland and skin back that part to dispose of the gland. Just cut a good sized circle out. That way the rest of the hide is on to protect the meat.

I generally cut the gland out of their back as soon as I got to them, and the smell did not bother me. People who don't do that often have a similar experience to tht which you describe. You don't want to get that stuff on your hands or you will smell it for a week!

Advice on the best commercial cast bullet for Rossi .44 Mag

Does anyone know of a good commercially cast bullet that you have had luck with in the Rossi .44 mag?

I'm looking for a general purpose bullet to load for shooting around the farm. I would probably not load it over 1000 fps (it doesn't take a lot to kill armadillos and such).
