Re: For patients who live with 'chronic pain'
I no longer define my back/arthritis pain as chronic. I have a lot of good days since getting on 100mg/day of CBD and once in a while my regular medication. The CBD is not under a Dr.'s supervision or direction.

Besides all of that, there was also a rack with grapefruit and, I think, boxes of dry cereal in the mess hall. Breakfast was the best!

Re: Corned beef hash and corn. Where did it come from?
Pretty standard with tomato sauce over white rice in Puerto Rico. One of my favorites and I'll have it a couple times a year. It does give me some acid indigestion, though.

I have a standard 3-9x40 on mine because it's a .308 and don't plan on brush hunting. It doesn't look bad. On my traditional levers, the highest I have is x4.

If I had to use my .30-30 socially, I'd go with some lighter bullets as fast as I could push them, like the Speer 130 gr.

Any of the clip magazine fed levers in the same caliber. Mine is a Belgium BLR that'll do that in another's hands, but not mine.

I have a 6.75 qt. Wide Dutch Oven from Williams-Sonoma that is awesome. Very wide flat surface for browning, great for large portions of meat sauce (Bolognese), chili, etc. I recommend it over a traditional Dutch Oven if you are to have only one.
Forgot to add it's a Le Creuset.

Scott, if you don't mind, what stocks are those, and did they need extra fitting? I've got a 442 I'd like to put those on. I don't know what brand they might be. I bought them on "sigh" Amazon. They required no fitting, just a screwdriver. And my little finger has a place to rest. I went ...

I have a BLR 308 with a serial number that doesn't seem to make sense. It ends in "K57" but 1957 doesn't make sense. Does anyone have experience with this? Was it built in 1975 instead of 57 or something? Thank you! https://www.browning.com/support/date-your-firearm/blr-lever-action-rifle...

Re: BLR problems
Mine is a Belgian in .308 built the year after the supposed last year production, which I think was '68 (according to what I read somewhere). That would make it a '69 built model. The way things are going, I might just end up taking it apart and hoping I can put it back together. Probably doesn't ne...

In one of the movies, he says he uses .44 Special instead. Oh, come on! Callahan wouldn't admit to that. In the movie where David Soul and Robert Urich were playing the motorcycle cops going around and killing bad guys, he did. It was just after David Soul's character beat his time and score in Hog...

He did say in a later movie that he shot a light Special for better control. One of the insider articles some time ago said that they could not at the time locate 29 but were able to get a 25 and a 57 which they used depending on the scene. If that is true I would suspect the muzzle scene/s were do...

A couple years ago, I was able to find and download/print a BLR FIELD SERVICE MANUAL. In glancing over it, there don't seem to be an...

I have a newer Miroku made 94 in 450M. It's a take-down model called Trails End (IIRC), with a 20" ported barrel, Pachmeyr recoil padded straight stock. With a 1-4 VX2 on it, it comes in at just under 7.25 lbs. and, as all 94s are, it's a very handy rifle to carry. The 20" barrel makes it ...
