I would think around $500 for the barrel, contoured, threaded and chambered and about the same to get it installed/blued. I might be low however, so I would budget $1500 and if it comes in less, then great!!

Glad to see you quitting. Mom was a heavy smoker and died when I was 18. Dad (Step) was a heavy cigar smoker and quit when he was in his late 60's, but developed throat cancer anyhow, about 5 years later. I never did smoke (inhaled a lot of secondhand smoke though). Only non-smoker in the family. Do...

Gonna need a bigger reloading press and a custom mould and lead pot for that Warthog round. Not to mention a BUNCH of wheelweight lead to feed that thing!!! Powder/primers are another story

Wheelweights will work fine. Even something like 96-3-1 pb/as/sn will work fine. You can even drop them hot from the mould into cold water, to harden them somewhat.

Seen a number of them here in CO. Granted not a lot at one show, but over the years seen probably a couple dozen. One I regret passing up was a 25-20 with a sewer pipe for a barre and not much finishl. Could have been re-lined/refinished. $200. This was about 5 years ago.

You might seat the gas checks with your .358" die and then powder coat the bullets. Should bring up to .360-.361" and might improve things.

I have a few moulds that cast at .433". Plenty of belling on the case mouth. I think there is not any clearance on the neck of the seating die, for the neck of the case, so instead of running the case into the die, it just stops when the case neck enters that portion of the die. Kind of like if...

Emailed them about making 218 bee brass. They replied that they are not doing custom jobs right now and would not even consider the 218 BEE as they said the 32-20 was tough enough to make and the 218 BEE brass would be even worse. Thought you guys might want to know.
