Re: Do you ever....
Ok....... "Do you ever..." Take your levergun down off the rack after cleaning it and go over it again looking for more "dirt"? ... I am SO guilty of that  I think it has something to do with hearing the action open and close. LOL Oh and one more.... "Do you ever...&qu...

Re: When you were a kid..........
My first was a Daisy BB gun with a "built in ricochet sound"(zzzzzzzzzzeeeeeeeeeee!) when I was about 7. My Dad removed the ricochet sound cause he said it'd scare off the squirrels and grackles I shot at. Next was a break-barrel CZ 22cal pellet gun... then for Christmas of my 12th year(ab...

Re: Are you alone for the Holidays (4)?
I recall reading 86ers post last year and then bawling like a kid at the thought of such generosity and compassion. His post is one major reason I choose to visit this forum daily. It always amazes me how the Levergun Community gentlemen act more like friends and mentors than ANY other gun group/sit...

Re: What's your passion: the rifle, hunt or ammo?
For me (at this point in my life)...... it's the hunt with my sons and family. I'd go into the woods unarmed just to be with them and enjoy the comraderie and experiences of the day. Second, it's my rifle..... there just seems to be some kind of magic for me when I hoist that Mod 94 onto my shoulder...

OT: Empty Emails?
I'm just wondering if anyone else using hotmail or another email provider has experienced an empty message body or pictures that are mysteriously "grayed out"? I have talked with a few other folks where this has happened. Interestingly enough, it seems only political emails have been affec...

Missed a cloverleaf....
by and inch and a half today! :D It was the first time out in years with my ole '94 30-30. I had a buddy with me for pointers and he "pointed" out that I needed to flip the rear sight down and just use the Lyman peep and the front bead... I felt like such a dope! (at 50 yrds) After 3 round...

Finally a decision!
I've come to the realization that the 30-30 is "my" cartridge (perfect recoil for me, perfect for my "style" of hunting) The question is, where do i go from here? I've got a beautiful pre 64 Win.... its a great thing to hold and shoot. I just don't wanna hurt it! Plus, i need a s...

Tried to retire my M 94.....
What a lament!.... I thought, since I have this wonderful Winchester M 94 (1948) that I should retire it and get myself another lever to replace it. LOL, no-can-do! I looked @ it up there on my rack and thought "What a dope, here is a wonderful rifle that fits me like a glove, shoots straight a...
