They have made several 375 Rugers. I would have gotten one of them but I have 375 Ruger in the 77 Hawkeye Alaskan that really shoots great.

Re: BLR 416 Ruger
Recoil is not that bad. Figures put recoil around 50lbs. My 50 alaskan on my marlin feels worse! And of course no were near my 585 Nyati!

Re: We had a great 2011 hunting season!
The moose was shot at 150yds,the boar at about 25yds, and the deer at 50yds.
We donated the moose meat as the people in the small town of Bethel really need it for there winter. My little family have not eaten much store bought meat in the last four years!

Sept 2011 DIY Alaskan Moose hunt
Hello My wife and I just returned from our DIY Alaska Moose Hunt. She shot a 52" with her 300wsm and mine was a 50" shot with my 50 Alaskan. We hired a flight service out of Bethel, Alaska, Papa Bear Adventures. The area we hunted was closed for 11yrs except for natives and was reopened in...

My wife and I are interested. I would be interested in one of your water buffalo with the broken horn or with one shorter. My wife is interested in one of the blackbuck or a Symitar Oryx. Could you email us the prices!
Thank you
Mark

Hello I need some help! When I shoot my 86 and I want to add more shells when there is already shells in the magazine tube the loading gate won't open. I can simulate this by putting shells in the tube and give it a sharp rap with my hand and it is the same way. You can't push the loading gate open....

Texas Hog Shot taken with 1886 (GRAPHIC)
This is a hog I shot at 100yds with my 1886. A 350gr Horn FP @ 2400fps. The hog was quartering to me. The shot hit the lower right shoulder went on through and came out in front of the opposite hind quarter. It did quite a bit of damage! http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk62/Coloradoyaler/hog1886r...

Thanks Guys for the replies! I took it to my gunsmith friend Rich Reily of High Tech Custom Rifles and he got it out. It was as tight as I have ever seen a dovetail sight! My 1886 had a short throat. So while I was there I had him lengthen the throat so the gun will now take the 350gr Hornady bullet...
