Re: Locked up Miraku 1895 30-06 trigger
I accidentally made some overpressure rounds from WC852(F) from Bartlett, which I acquired years ago. I made what I thought were just below max rounds, and WHOA? Felt like a cannon in my shoulder. Brass stuck in chamber, TRIGGER LOCKED UP???? I'm a fairly handy guy. Any idea how to unstuck the trig...

Re: Bullet alloy for cast bullets
I appreciate your replies. It all makes sense now. I am working with the 358429 bullets. They have to be seated a little deeper in order to function in the action. I wonder how much this will effect the pressure in the 357 cases. Of course I don't plan on pushing the max velocity. Any comments on t...

Re: Powder $$
I just bought a 1 pound can of powder at Cabelas. The price was $70 inc tax. A shooter's pastime is fast becoming a rich man's game. It's probably still cheaper than buying factory ammo but I'll admit I was shocked. That's a bit spendy. I'm seeing stuff for around $50 locally per pound, and some VV...

S&W 1854 44 Magnum Quality
I'm a dealer. I just received two of the above rifles. Dealer cost was $1031 per each plus $10 shipping for both (how dey do dat so cheap?) They are beautiful rifles. Truly works of art on the outside. And the barrels look like sewer pipe with my $70 Teslong USB camera? I'm not talking about the ext...

Re: MAR 1894 CLASSIC 44M drilled and tapped
Catalog 70401 UPC 736676704019 Are these guns drilled and tapped for: - a scope & - a receiver sight ???? Thanks They are to attach a rail or regular scope mount but I like a longer sight radius and went with this (please disregard the abuse I used it often ) and want to have the peep for back ...

Re: MAR 1894 CLASSIC 44M drilled and tapped
And, specifically, what "peep" is this? I would really appreciate model numbers. I don't want to punch the ticket on this rifle in 44 mag unless I can a) mount a receiver sight, and, perhaps when I get older... b) mount an optic such as is shown in some of this thread. tanks, y'all. mac

Re: 1894 XTR receiver sight
So, gentlemen, if you please and while we are at it, what inserts are compatible with this sight?
As you can see, mine is missing an insert, but it sure is quick to bring to point w/o one!
thanks
mac

1894 XTR receiver sight
Manufacture date ~1981. Drilled and tapped for receiver sight. I would like to acquire a receiver sight like the one on my 1943 vintage 1894 in 32 Win Spl. It is a Redfield, and I have spent an enormous amount of time trying to identify it. There is an "E" on the backside of the elevator g...

Re: Colt Lawman MKIII
Oh, man. I've a Trooper Mk III NIB never been fired. I'll fix that shortly. It even came with the box. Bought it for around $325. Must be worth 2x->3x in that condition. So, should I sell it for profit unfired, then buy a shooter? Or just shoot it? I'm not a collector; I am an accumlator and general...
