I don't want a Heavier, weaker, shiny brass receiver gun, give me steel. Also that funny shaped large lever looks butt ugly, and so does the short magazine tube. Full length tube would look much nicer and add an extra round. https://www.henryrifles.com/rifles/45-70-lever-action/ https://www.henryrif...

I don't mind the Henry's front loading feature at all. My 22LR levergun loads like that, and even a changing grizz can only take so many rounds before you kilt it or it kilt you. What I do object to is their 45/70 available only in a 18" barrel pistol grip butt stock. Make me one with a 22 to 2...

I "wanted" a 9422 but they were too pricey so I got a 10/22 instead with no regrets.
Later on I wanted a model 1894 Marlin in 44 magnum. This one I did get.
After 40 years I still own both.

I shoot both 44 magnum and 357 magnum from rifles, and through trial and error (though no game lost) came to the conclusion that jsp bullets perform more consistently on big game when fired from a rifle than hollow point bullets. I also found the same to be true with hard cast swc and Keith style bu...

Re: H&R HANDI-RIFLE .357 Magnum--re-chamber to .357 Maximum
As far as action strength no problem. As far as accuracy some problems. After reaming your chamber longer for 357 max, when you shoot 357 mag the bullet has to jump a longer distance before engaging the rifling. This can negatively impact the accuracy of 357 magnum loads though every gun is unique s...
