Re: Watching out for Sleeper Cell nonsense
Just googled that CB maximum output for users is usually 4-12 watts. HF is 100watts to 1500 with the right licence. I believe for any main grid attacks and banking hacks it may not just be external forces doing it but I just deleted my full tin foil rant :) . Wrong place. Sorry for whoever already r...

A lot of 1894 went overseas too, Canada bought a lot for private and government use. The French Navy fitted out their smaller boats with them for mine popping and boarding etc.

Jim, how did you find the quality or were you too young to comment. Id assume with a service history of 50 years they must have been doing something right.

Reading up on 1892 history and always impressed how many times they turned up around the world in armies, navies, police, prisons- even as late as the 1970's. Some examples, Pic heavy. Argentina Railway Police Sante Fe and Cordoba Regional Police, 1900 until the 1950's. Trapper rechambered to 45acp ...

So I have been thinking about trying to get a 300 jacketed up to 1700fps in my guns. Why that arbitrary figure? a round number I guess. Also the 300 grain XTP has a decent BC of .245 which has it catching up to power of the 454 Casull and even some 45-70 factory loads at 130-150 yards. Are any of th...

Are they using the same BC formula, the G1 or the G7? It could be they use the old G1 for the XTPs and the G7 for the FTX and that is where the discrepancy is? I dunno, maybe a phone call to Hornady would get the answer. You raise a good point there, maybe its two different systems at play. I know ...

I agree Jim, I dont buy or use the Ftx myself, it was why I queried folks attraction to them. Being they occupy more space in the case, the COAL is more finicky , and it seems their Ballistic Coefficient is worse, or at least not accurately represented. So what exactly do they do another bullet does...

Great bullets but one thing I never understood is the ballistic coefficients listed for their pistol bullets. The FTX bullets despite being designed with the benefit of a pointed bullet are listed with markedly worse ballistic coefficient than the standard hollowpoints. Either someone go their calcu...

yes trains are another level. I work in mining where they move material with CAT 793 haul trucks which carry a load of 220tons, the truck looks like a small house, the engine is 7ft tall. Then at the train loadout you see 15,000 tons in 100+ wagons (over a mile long) pulled by just 3-4 engines.

My hog shooting is with a R92 44mag 240gn XTP and before that an evern greater amount I shot with 158gn XTP loaded hot in a 357 rossi.
I havent used 45 colt but either the 250xtp or vanilla 300gn XTP would work. The 240 xtp Mag and 300 XTP MAG bullets meant for the 454 wont open much under 1500fps.

Theres no over all rule for XTP when it comes to expansion or toughness, it varies by bullet. Hornadies expansion velocity chart bears no relation to reality either.
