Im steering clear of anything new myself. Got a buddy, a real big strong guy or was, now almost crippled by the second covid jab. he had a multi-millionaire dollar building business. First jab made him sick, dizzy, fainting spells for a time. Second jab, same thing, but the symptoms never went away....

Have since learned that most reloading data, in fact all I can find, Hoddgon, Vihtavouri, Alliant, ADI, barnes etc all specify small rifle, not magnum.

Ya know mickbr, those fellows loading for revolvers have to have a powerful crimp to keep the bullet from jumping the crimp in the revolver and locking up the cylinder. Your Rossi lever has no such issues. You have got a bunch of poor advice from the revolver guys. Use just enough "crimp"...

Mickbr, the Redding Profile die is one of only two dies I would use for heavy revolver loads like 454 Casull etc (the other being the Lee FCD of course). Not seen any problems with modern brass in 454 Casull and any reputable company should do like Starline or Hornady. Your powder choice is fine. L...

I know it does do all those things Grizz, thats why I was careful to say the 45-70 doesnt do them very well . I'll stand by that to anyone toting a 45-70 BFR or derringer for self defence :shock:.
