Europeans and their 9.3 combo rifles
off tangent from the subject of the forum but always wondered at the following of 9.3x 74R/12ga amongst European hunters. I was trying to figure out where the concept starts, a hunter after real big game wants to shoot a rabbit suddenly, or is the idea you only need to bring one gun on a hunt? Combo...

Re: 4/5 oz shotload in 410ga
I know this is simply stating (or restating) the obvious, but I think it worth saying. Given adequate shot size and power, How a shotgun patters is all the counts. The ONLY reason for more pellets is to get a get a better pattern. If the OP can add 1/10 oz more shot, he then has to determine if thi...

real redneck-tech here fellas. Standard factory 410ga 3" 5x 000 buck load runs about 350 grains or 4/5 oz.... If I tip out the buck and add smaller shot size of choice is that ok?. Maybe a few grains less as I hear smaller shot size compresses or plugs the bore more and raises peak pressure a l...

Random musings, I always wished Paco would have articled some hotrod loads for 44mag in a Rossi92 like he did in the 357, 45 colt and 454 casull. Not that I need more power but would just be interesting to see how the cartridge did with similar upper pressure limit applications.
