Re: Close encounters
How'd you like to "encounter" this guy? Taken in southern Armstrong county in the Texas panhandle. They thought they had a poacher operating in the area!

Looks like it's gonna be a bad severe weather season this year. Please keep all those affected in your ...

The Right According To Elmer
While re-reading Sixguns by Keith for the umpteenth time I came across this. It was originally published in 1961. "Gunfighting is nasty business, but as long as we have a criminal element, or nations bent on mastery of the world, it will be necessary. The best possible defense against either is...

Re: Raising Em Right
OK, I forgot to tie it in to leverguns. A few months back I was at the range with the 3 of them and shot some of his long range precision rifles. I let him and the older girl shoot my Marlin 357. After seeing the big grins and hearing the "That's fun!" comments I decided to just give it to...

Re: Down in Uvalde
I have been there/ done that and feel like I need to Put in my 2 cents worth. Most folks don't know or understand that the response to an active shooter is pretty much opposite from the response to a barricaded gunman/ hostage situation and you have to be prepared to transition from one to the other...

I left a camera up at one of my buddy's protein feeders until a couple of weeks ago. Going through the pics I found some of this guy! Seems like the antler restrictions started a few years ago are working.

Read Paco's article about it on this website. You will be impressed! I've used it on deer and hogs. There is an obvious increase in power over the 308.

If you will check Midway and Natchez every morning you will find some primers and powder just about every day- you gotta be quick tho and expect to pay 70 to 80 dollars a thousand for primers.

Re: Marlin 1894 45 Colt
Finally! picked up the Marlin 45 Colt day before yesterday, cleaned it, and mounted a2-7x Weaver. Even though a Remlin fit and finish is excellent and has some pretty nice wood. I cleaned it and loaded up some 250gr. XTP's with 19grs. 2400 and took it to the range yesterday. I kid you not wind was 2...

Re: Interesting from Midway
I have some Cast Performance 180 357's and 265 45's. After reading this I checked and neither appear to have any lube. I pulled them up on the Midway website and read the product info. CP says they use a special clear dry lube which is barely noticeable and works much better than anything else they ...

Re: Lets'have a contest ...... everyone post a Christmas rifle story.
It was 1963 or 64 I think. I was 10 or 11. In probably November my parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told them I wanted a 22 rifle. My mother exclaimed "Oh, you're crazy! We're not giving you a gun!" I told them ok, I wanted a bb gun then. The reply was "We'll see" ...
