We have used 158 grain soft point with great success. Shot placement as suggested is the sweet spot, closer the better.

They are nice, I have an 06, Miroku with a peep sight, works very well, Made very well, I can not find an original I can afford, but am still looking for one in 06. I have a question for the guys with the originals with the scalloped stock, do you prefer that to the shotgun / straight cut stock?

I have a simply rugged chest holster works very well, it can carry 4 5/8 SA ruger, 4in model 28 or 6 in model 28. Just had to add another snap on the strap for the smiths. Much easier to handle hounds. Weight on hip made my back sore after while, and always hung on brush.

Easter Sausage

The wife went down to the hog pen easter morning, give our sow some scraps, went back to the house got her 30 -1894, said this little boar hog was trying to get in with the sow. We needed some sausage, funny how a 120 pound hog only gives about 30 pound ground.
