Re: Aging Eyes...and aiming/shooting Leverguns

I have absolutely no issues with a short scope or optic on any levergun. it tells me the hunter places hunting ethics above nostalgia. I have a Weaver 2.25 on my 307 BB 1894, and a Burris Scout scope on a favorite 356 Marlin. XS fwd rails make the job easy and solid as a rock. Years ago I could plac...

Easy, I agree. My old aerospace/defense company had the same policy reviewed on vehicles, after one inspector sat in his car at lunchtime and re-decorated his interior in brain matter ala 357 Magnum. Re: Faded Night Sights or What is Tritium, Solid or Gas?

Tritium is a gas. A radioactive isotope of hydrogen. Let's go back to 8th grade science class... Tritium decays and in the process releases energy, noticeably the light emitted by looking into the end or lens of a small glass tube. It has a half-life of approx 12.3 years, which to the shooter simply...

Look at the Accubond as the latest revision designed by computers. The Partition started them all and is still top-shelf, but there are excellent (and cheaper!) bullets available in 2015.

I prefer the Barnes Triple-shock X for the once-in-a-lifetime potential shot.

I lived and hunted in MI for many years, and one of my favorites was the 375Win Contender for corn & bean-stuffed whitetails. In the "shotgun zone" in that state, F&G allowed straight-walled cartridges of at least 35 caliber in a handgun. So that put me and my 375 in compliance and...
