I've been very satisfied with the bullets I've bought from them, although most of what I buy from them is a lot bigger diameter than what you are using. They have been timely with orders and what I received is what they advertised.

The area I work is just north of Canadian, lots of damage to farms, oil and gas structures, fences, outbuilidings.......toward Canadian.

I cannot confirm about the area you are asking about, most of the field hands I talk to are closer to Beaver Ok and Liberal Ks.

Wow, I don't know a ton about steel, but 20 strikes me as being very soft. A carbon steel knife is generally between 45 to 52 and stock mild tubing steel (not hardened) that we test in the industry I work in is typically around 45, but can vary widely.

The last copper we tested was around 20.

I have one from the 70's or 80's and it is a very nice saddle rifle---very nice to pack on a horse for sure. It's nicely made and shoots well, but only with lighter bullets---200's and some styles of 240's are good but Keith bullets---say 250's or heavier are erratic, especially with heavier charges...

Yes, a good fire lap job is supposed to do pretty much the same. My results from firing lapping have been iffy.

Nice sights you have. I've been looking for a 36-MS for a while for my 8x56, but haven't found one I could stomach the price on yet. I've seen some for sale on Gunbroker and bid on some, but no luck yet.

If you have to work with the one that is on it and can't find a lighter one, I prefer to file/thin it, over bending it. Just my way of doing it and it may not be the best solution, but has worked very well for me.
