a 30-30 with a 170gr. bullet at 100yds has more energy/power than a 44mag. has at the muzzle with a 240gr. bullet,,,,,,,,,,,,,

that is a more modern photo than it appears. what gives it away for me is the light in the back ground and the sharpness of the trees, film in the early 1900s wasn't that sharp. it could be from the 50s up, but I think latter than that,,,,

I use big mav lube bullets exclusively in mine, it make ALL the difference in the world. use spg lube a compressed load of swiss ff and life will be good....

anyone like the model 14s ? I found this one in a pawn shop a few years ago. the grain was covered by decades of crude but I knew it would be nice when I got through with it.it is in 30 rem. and shoots excellent. it was made 1912

one more of my 32 rem. in action. it was made in 1927 I bought it from an older lady in California who said it was her daddy's gun and he use to hut with it in Napa valley. I bet you can't hunt there now!
