Re: USPS follies, YET AGAIN!
I'll add my 2.5 experiences. 1)Sent a USPS certified letter (payment) from Hamilton Georgia to IRS in Atlanta Ga (94 miles) late last year. Took 51 days to make the transit. 2) Local humane society (1.7 miles and two intersections by car) send a thank you note for donation. Initially went to Atlanta...

Re: How do you get consistent throws from powder measure?
Some good stuff here, but one thing that I didn't see mentioned is the precision of the scale used. As near as I can tell from reading specifications, virtually all of the digital scales and mechanical balances are plus/minus 0.1 grains. With pistol loads (my 38/45 loads were less than 5 grains), th...

Re: New Look !!!
I find the orange font used for the topics to be nearly impossible to decipher. A darker color would make it easier. Other than that - I don't have an opinion on the rest of the changes.

For Ol #7 - There are actually two Crazy Horse P51s, The latter one in the Stallion 51 stable was painted the same, except at the end of the name is a very, very small roman numeral II. As far as I know both are still based in Kissimmee Fla (maybe someone can confirm that). And you can do more than ...

Re: Woods-Bumming Rifle Choice...
Great post and replies. Thanks to all. My 'woods walking' takes place on 400 acres near Columbus GA and there really are no 4-legged threats to 2-legged prey. We have deer (plenty), armadillo, turkey, beaver, coyotes (heard but not seen yet) and rarely a pack of wild dogs after hunting season. The g...

Re: Tumbling brass
I switched to ss pins and tumbling a few years ago. I de-prime the dirty brass first and then tumble with a mixture of 1 tablespoon Tide HE (low sudsing) and 1/4 teaspoon of LemiShine/gal water. An hour is sufficient and the result is superior (IMHO) than twice that time in a vibrator with walnut. P...

Rusty - According to the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson (pretty much the bible for history of S&W guns), the all aluminum (frame and cylinder) was a run of 3,770 guns and the highest serial number reported to the Catalog authors is 44577. After that, it was produced as alloy frame/steel ...

AmBraCol - I may be one of those that failed to contact the administrator. I just signed up yesterday and I don't recall seeing the requirement to contact the administrator when I was registering. I received the activation/verification email and followed that link to complete the signup. Did I overl...
