Re: Barnes CR-10 bore cleaning solvent
Like Old Savage says, just use patches with the copper solvents. But my bottle of CR-10 doesn't get much use anymore since I discovered the foaming bore cleaners. And they just like patches, too. Also I never have noticed increased pressures from super-coppered bores, though you'd certainly expect s...

You can load 180gr JHP's to 1300 fps in a 6 1/2" Blackhawk and it's not bad at all on the hands. Don't have the exact numbers in front of me but it will have a minimum of 500 ft./lbs at 50 yards. In other words it has more power downrange than the .357 load Griff used at the barrel too. The 18...

I hadn't heard that info about the Marlin 32/20 chambers being longer. But even if true it just means you now own a "32/20 slightly improved". And a mighty nice looking rifle it it, by the way! Since the 32/20 headspaces on the rim and not the shoulder, even if the shoulder area grows duri...

If your 32 special is chambered generous enough in the neck so those 8mm bullets chamber with no resistance I'd think you are good to go. (Assuming you're talking jacketed bullets). But if you feel them chambering hard you may want to back off before you get pressure problems from the neck not relea...

Why hasn't Winchester or Browning produced a lengthened model 92 for the 30-30 cartridge? Well they are not really into innovation anymore.
