I took a really fat meat-doe around Thanksgiving with my H&R Ultra Slug Hunter 20g... used Remmy AccuTip 3" sabot slugs (260 grains at 1900fps)... DRT at 53 yards... the shot broke both shoulders and lodged under the hide on the far side... fully "petalled" with one petal missing....

Mike, If I were you I'd ditch the 9mm before the M60, and given that you have both the M60 and a slicked up NKJ M92 in .357 there is no way I'd sell either ahead of a more modern, tacitcal-ish 9mm. Sell the 9mm rig, silencer and all... keep the .30-30 and the two .357s. You're thinking of this like ...

I only use Leupold bases, rings and scopes. Experience has demonstrated to me the value of going with a slightly more expensive but significantly better made product in all cases. Waters Pet Loads 30-30 Update.... Bolt action loads in the M54 were about 100-150 fps faster than lever gun max loads and a 150 bullet was clocked at right on 2400 fps. So... that pretty much matches standard modern factory 150gr loads at 2390fps, no? Were standard levergun .30-30 loads in 1930 run...

I really like the Crickett I got my daughter... it is well made and accurate... the only problem we've had is sticky extraction when using hotter loads like the CCI Velocitor, etc. Shouldn't be any kind of problem with shorts.
