I have TFOs on my XD Subcompact 9mm... you will not regret it... they're the best sights out there right now... so bright that in daylight or total darkness you can line them up with peripheral vision and point-shoot while looking OVER them with some surprisingly decent accuracy... in between those ...

I think if I was using a Marlin in extreme arctic conditions I'd use one of those bear proof ejectors myself. But in any other circumstance, I end up detuning the stock ejector to ease cycling resistance. Just how far clear of the gun do we need em to eject anyways? Yuh.... I may end up doing just ...

If you NEED the lever wrapped to protect your hand, your rifle is stiff. I use a lever wrap to take up some slack, make the lever stroke smoother, but the action is slick enough there would not ever be pain, even if I cycled it all day. How slick is slick?
