BLR Musings

So.... I've been reading up on BLRs recently and was wondering if anyone here could comment on the functional aspects of Belgian vs. new-build models. Specifically, are the 2008 era BLRs more accurate? Do they have better triggers? Is extraction improved? Or, are any of those things true in reverse,...

I for one, certainly wish Marlin had never stopped D&T for the side mount Williams FP. That is my first choice in a peep. However on my 1894 Cowboy .357, I went with the XS system that uses the scope mount Holes. I also have the threaded insert so I can use the Williams apertures. Has worked we...

I like the combination of an XS front sight and a Williams FP peep. Have that setup on my 1894C and my Win 94 (pics), also rigging my 9422 that way. The 94 and 9422 also have Marble's folding-leaf rear sights instead of the factory irons. http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll139/Haycock-PA/Picture00...

So, basically this is what you're saying:

For "hunters", those that actually know how to and can hunt, there's nothing the 94 can't take.

For "shooters" , those that consider "250yd + shots" necessary, the 94 is a handicap.
