Hunting Tags

Anyone draw hunting tags yet? Now that I fled Ca to Wyoming, I pay resident prices! My 1st non-res elk tag in 1991 was $254. Last year...$707 for a elk :( . I just drew a cow/calf tag, an antelope tag, and can get a general elk tag (any elk) over the counter all for less than $150! Life is good. Hop...

I like the way my local gun shop does it. It's $30 but they waive it if you spend $30 on merchandise instead. Ammo or anything qualifies.

Guns have gotten cheap lately. I just picked up a Smith & Wesson Shield 9mm 2.0 for $339. And with a $40 rebate it's only costing me to $299.

Another reason I sold it off was it was too dang pretty to be taking out in the woods and beat up. Having a Colt in a box tucked away in a safe wasn't for me. This Vaquero is slightly used and is a tank, Plus with the money I made off of it I'm also getting a Smith & Wesson shield for concealed carr...

I'm not an expert on them but I know the older Vaqueros are built on the Blackhawk frames. I know it fits my hand a lot better than the Colt did. Maybe the grips are just fatter.

Sold One...Bought One

When I retired I bought a new 3rd gen .45 Colt SAA because I had always wanted one. Only thing is, it felt too small for may hands and ended up a safe queen. I didn't like my pinky under the grip and if I moved my hand up, the hammer dug into the web of my hand. Shooting it was not comfortable. So.....

I don't mind dressing out animals, I just hate the smell sometimes. Some recommend the gloves to avoid coming in contact with CWD. Personally, this year I was glad I wasn't wearing gloves. It was minus 15 when I got my elk and those innards kept my hands warm!
