Re: Buying Guns in Cal.(kind of long, sorry)
I beleive many dealers in most states are misinformed or maybe just overly cautious about doing business in Ca. not wanting to risk their FFL. Can't say that I blame them but from what a GB dealer I deat with out of Texas told me, they are missing out on a lot of business due to bad information.

Buying Guns in Cal.(kind of long, sorry)
I've been laid up recovering from a knee surgery. With a lot of time to kill I decided to look into replacing a Winchester 94 30-30 I traded off. I found several on Gun Broker but just about every one refused to ship to California. It is getting so frustrating. I've bought before and the only differ...

I saw this Trapper length 30-30 on gunbroker. Anyone have one or shot one. Kind of pricey but another one lists in the high $700.

I have to have a patella ligament below my kneecap reattached tomorrow. Then six weeks in a straight brace, then physical therapy. Blew it out at work so workmans comp is covering it. Re: Leverevolution Ballistics? Same as a normal round?
This is a 45-70 LE round I dug out of a large cow elk a couple years back. It wasn't a long shot, about 90 yards. It dropped her quick. The round went through a couple ribs and lodged just inside the hide on the opposite side. The crease is from hitting a rib. I don't know how they stack up against ...

Old No7, I bought two of the GS5's last year and gave one to my son. They are a blast to shoot. I put a cheap Japanese made red dot and it has worked great. As stated by AJMD429, since there is no recoil, it doesn't make sense to buy a $400-$500 Eotech. Another thing, according to my local gun deale...

I don't want to hijack the thread but I have a story to relate that may be related to this issue. A few guys I work with wanted to change from issued .45s to 357 sig when it came out. Reading up on the caliber it was supposed to be near identical ballistically to the 357 magnum. I read a report wher...

I used a Tikka T3 Lite in 7mm Rem Mag. I used Federeal Premium 160 grain Nosler Partition. The shot was only about 80 yards at a downhill angle. She wobbled, walked about 20 feet and dropped. I brought my Marlin XLR 45-70 and was going to use it the next day. Wish I had it that day.

I think that if you shoot either/both enough it doesn't matter. A TRAINED person immediately operates them correctly when he picks them up. I agree. Of course it's not the same movements but if you train enough with it you'll automatically operate what weapon you have correctly. I remember shooting...
