Lighter loads of 2400 without a bit of dacron or even toilet paper to hold the powder to the rear of the case caused many detonations in my 45-70. Scarry stuff. I no longer use 2400 in this cartridge as a result of too many booming, case scorching, ball of fire the size of a beachball muzzle flashes...
