I think back in the day when food was scarce and it was about feeding your family back on the homestead, one would have made certain the bullet was placed where it should be for a proper and quick kill That's how I was raised. Started with a Benjamin .22 on ground squirrels when I was about 8 or 9....

Two multi tools: a mini Leatherman and a Gerber; a S&W 640-1, and a Boker lockblade. Add a small Surefire at night. Add a dog or two if I'm home.. :wink:

If the Lever is pistol caliber, then a matching S&W revolver; I just enjoy doing it this way.

For "rifle" calibers, then whatever handigun is available - likely a Smith wheelgun or Hi Power or 1911/45.

A buddy has the same combo, with some red dot sight, and cleans up at the nighttime combat shoots we used to do. That Marlin makes it easy.

Rossi makes M92s sold under a couple of brand names, like Puma and EMF. My EMF was tuned by Steve (www.stevesgunz.com) and iit is great. When I do my part, it gives me 2" groups at 50 yards, off the bench.

These are stronger than the Marlins or Winchester M94s.

wHO PRODUCES THE BEST MODEL 92... AS FAR AS FIT AND FINISH GOES?, I have two (blued with CCH receiver) EMFs tuned by Nate and they "fit" well and the finish is perfect (parts fit and they look like good working 92's). Also have a Miroku that shoots well for me and seems "fitted"...

That looks like the Wrangler.44 in my safe. Sold a Redhawk .44 to buy it and have been happy ever since. Does well with 300 gr bullets.
