Speaking of Trappers, I really like the short carbines, but the short "short tifles" are also pretty good. Good for Cimarron, and wow their list prices are just short of a thousand. Here is a short short rifle that Nate made, inspired by a certain '54 Winchester M94 in 30-30. ;) http://img...

Yes, too many people have no respect for others. That is when we are forced to go back to the old fact that physical force does indeed solve problems. And Lulu, our ankle biter Lhasa Apso, says "Hey! It's the size of the fight in the dog! Now throw my ball so I can fetch it!" http://img205...

In town too; over the last twenty years I've seen dogs running loose every week. Quite a few were doing something they shouldn't be and simply needed to be leashed up until their owners or animal control collected them. Not really much of a problem. But five times I've dealt with dog(s) attacking ki...

The Katrina scenario of societal breakdown and survival is always the first one I think about when I consider being given only the choice of one or two firearms - Right, and we've had two big riots here, like the rodney king riots, and I believe fewer issues during a couple of earthquakes. I've been reading everyone's posts, and trying to pick just one Levergun & revolver combination. Then I realized that, hey, I did basically store my own guns a few months ago. So what did I keep with me to live my life here in town? A 5" 1911/45, a 2" J frame, and a M94 Trapper/ 45 Lon...

You define your purpose or in general. Hmmm. I'm going to rule out any worries about bears, mountain lions, or similar wild animals for this one. Whether you call it Long Colt or Colt, we just spent the weekend shooting mostly standard factory loads and a few heavy thumpers from Double Tap.
