Smoothing up Rossi Model 92's

Hello again,
I know the Paco has a disc and instructions for smoothing up Rossi Model 92's. I would like to try working on one of mine. Can someone run this past me again? One of my local shooting friends has done one of his. Wow! What a difference!
Thank you!

Re: Stevens Favorite .22 long rifle rifles

Good Sunday Evening! Beautiful fall evening up here in NW Wisconsin, east of Hayward. I worked on the two Crack Shots until about noon today and now both are shooting every round I tried (Standard Velocity Remington). I need the following parts: One metal buttplate, one coiled mainspring, two trigge...

After working on one of these, cleaning it up and deburring some of the parts, I reassembled it and then gave it another test firing with a CB Long, laid the little rifle down next to the other one, and guess what? The one I was working on has an 18" barrel. The other a 20" barrel! Otherwi...

Hi there! That was the original idea I was working with. I decided that the one with the very nice bore will get whatever parts are needed from the one with the less quality bore. Re: Reloading for a Marlin 336 (1989) .35 Remington

Good Morning! Nice target with that bullet. Is it a Lyman bullet? While I don't want to turn this into a reloading list, this point is probably important: Don't assume that because the 336 Marlin in .35 Remington can use common pistol size .38/.357 lead slugs that most should work. I have some 160 g...

Re: Reloading for a Marlin 336 (1989) .35 Remington

You are correct. Bullet #358156 has to seat tight to the crimping groove, not quite down to the powder. In fact, all the adjustment is used with the Lee seating die to get it down far enough. I next tried the Dardas made 158 grain bevel base flat nose and that seats about to the bottom of the neck. ...

Reloading for a Marlin 336 (1989) .35 Remington

When I got this rifle a month or so ago, I figured that reloading for it would be easy. Quite the contrary! The reloading manuals seem to think that all a person is going to use are jacketed bullets. I like to try lead slugs and the first thing I will try is bullet #358156 at about 160 grains. Initi...

You know, when you think about it, a casing like the .22 Hornet or something at least as small and thin, probably does not need a lot of time in the flame to accomplish an anneal. The correct answer is: Shoot the shorter (.45 Schofield) in the cylinder as is! No need to sleeve anything. Make sure you clean the chambers well or it will be dificult to chamber a regular .45 Colt round after a bit of shooting .
That is all!
