I'm sorry fuzz but you are misinformed. Glocks are well known to be the only 10mm to handle the original real 10mm loads. It was the Colt Delta Elite that was torn apart by those original 10mm loads. AR10 is going to have serious velocity penalties for anything under 18in. not saying you can't but look at the curves before even thinking of shortening the barrel. If I recall, it gets ugly rather quickly.
